Teleb — Support
You need two devices. Teleb sends a file from one screen to another camera, so a single device cannot transfer to itself. The two do not need to match — iPhone to Android works, in either direction.

Getting started
- 01On the receiving device, tap Receive. It shows a code.
- 02On the sending device, tap Send, pick a file, then point its camera at the receiver's code.
- 03Both devices show the same three words. Check they match, then accept on both.
- 04The sender fills its screen with a moving code. Hold the receiver's camera facing it, about 20 cm away, and wait.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing is being received.
- Check the distance first — about 20 cm, with the whole code inside the frame. Then check for glare: a reflection across either screen is the most common cause. Raise the sender’s screen brightness. Avoid direct sunlight.
- It is going slowly.
- It is meant to be slow. Light through a camera is a narrow channel, and Teleb is built for the cases where no faster channel exists. Missing frames cost time but never the file — Teleb uses fountain coding, so every frame is equally useful and none is essential. Holding steadier is the only speed-up.
- The sender says "Stopped", not "Sent".
- That is correct, and deliberate. There is no back-channel of any kind, so the sending device genuinely cannot know whether anything arrived. Claiming delivery it cannot verify would be a lie, so it does not. Check the receiving device — it knows, and it will tell you.
- My video was refused.
- Video is refused on purpose. A short clip would take the better part of an hour on this channel. Teleb says so up front rather than letting you find out twenty minutes in.
- My file is too large.
- Above a certain size Teleb warns and asks again; above a higher one it refuses. For files that big, a cable is the right tool. The "What Teleb can and can't do" page inside the app gives the current thresholds.
- The three words do not match.
- Stop. Do not accept. Matching words are what prove you are talking to the phone in front of you rather than something in between. If they differ, start over somewhere else.
- A received file is missing.
- Received files go to Teleb’s own folder, visible in the Files app on iOS. If you chose to save a photo to your library, it is in Photos instead.
Reporting a problem
Email sgyeom0319@gmail.com. The most useful report includes both device models and OS versions, which side failed (sending or receiving), roughly how far the transfer got, and the file type and size.
